Johnson City, NY -- The Johnson City Police Association has endorsed Congressman Marc Molinaro for reelection in New York's 19th Congressional District. Molinaro now has 21 total endorsements from union organizations.
In Congress, Marc Molinaro has proudly supported law enforcement and fought to strengthen public safety. He's supported legislation to combat Albany's bail reform and close the border, and has delivered federal resources for local law enforcement.
Joshua M. Bilek, Johnson City PBA President said, "During his time as a public servant for upstate New York, Congressman Molinaro has never wavered on his support for law enforcement. That support includes opposing Albany’s dangerous bail reform, delivery of grant money to law enforcement agencies for training/equipment and fighting to reduce the strain that inflation has put on America. Marc has also been outspoken on key issues including mental health, opioid abuse and our broken border policies. These issues are key in ensuring the safety of all those Congressman Molinaro represents. In closing, the Johnson City PBA stands unanimously behind Congressman Molinaro and fully supports him as he continues to work for America, especially the people who call upstate New York home."
Congressman Molinaro said, “I’m honored to have the support of the Johnson City Police Association, and I will continue to stand with them against dangerous laws that undermine public safety and work to deliver the resources they need to do their jobs. Public safety in Upstate New York has been on the decline -- we need to work together to get our state back on the right track."
Congressman Molinaro was elected in November 2022 to represent New York’s 19th Congressional District. The new district includes Broome, Chenango, Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Sullivan, and Tompkins counties as well as part of Cortland, Rensselaer, and Ulster counties. In Congress, he has been recognized by the nonpartisan Lugar Center as the 2nd most bipartisan and by the Congressional Research Service as the fifth most productive.
