Molinaro Endorsed By Transport Workers Union, Now Has 19 Total Union Organization Endorsements

Binghamton, NY -- The Transport Workers Union of America (TWU), representing over 150,000 workers across the airline, railroad, and transit, university, utility and service sectors, has endorsed Congressman Marc Molinaro for reelection in New York's 19th Congressional District. Molinaro now has 19 total endorsements from union organizations.

According to the NY Post, Congressman Molinaro is a 'favorite' among some of the biggest unions in New York State and is a strong ally of transportation workers. He authored and got a bill signed into law that creates a global safety standard for American aircraft repairs and removes the incentive to offshore aircraft maintenance jobs. He also bucked his own party to stop deep cuts to Amtrak and its workforce.

John Samuelsen, President of TWU said, "Marc has been one of our greatest allies in Congress, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with him. We have worked closely with him on transit, rail, and air issues over the course of his term. On every issue our members care deeply about, Marc has taken the time to understand our concerns and ensure working people are the top priority of our government."

Congressman Molinaro said, "I'm so honored to receive this vote of confidence from John and the Transport Workers Union. Transport workers quite literally keep us moving and drive our economy forward. We recognize and thank them for their work, and will continue fighting every day for the safety, security, and dignity of every transport worker."

Congressman Molinaro was elected in November 2022 to represent New York’s 19th Congressional District. The new district includes Broome, Chenango, Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Sullivan, and Tompkins counties as well as part of Cortland, Rensselaer, and Ulster counties. In Congress, he has been recognized by the nonpartisan Lugar Center as the 2nd most bipartisan and by the Congressional Research Service as the fifth most productive.
