Molinaro Endorsed By Broome County Sheriff

Binghamton, NY -- Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar today endorsed Congressman Marc Molinaro in his reelection in New York's 19th Congressional District.

In Congress, Marc Molinaro has proudly supported law enforcement and fought to strengthen public safety. He's supported legislation to combat Albany's bail reform and close the border, and has delivered federal resources for local law enforcement.

Sheriff Akshar said, “We don’t need a political tool of radical interests representing our community in Washington, we need a thoughtful, no-nonsense leader. During an extraordinarily divided time in our nation’s history, Marc Molinaro has been an unmitigated success as a Congressman who works across party lines for the people of our community. Articulate, compassionate and always respectful, he’s proved why he’s a gifted public servant and an invaluable advocate for our communities and families he represents. He’s been a firm and vocal advocate for safer communities, a stronger border and support for our police since day one. He’s also done more for individuals and families with disabilities than any other Congressman or government official in recent memory. Those are just a few of the reasons I’m proud to call him a friend and why I wholeheartedly support him for re-election.”

Congressman Molinaro said, "Thankful to call Fred a friend and to have his endorsement in this race. Broome County deserves a fighter in Congress. I've fought to deliver federal support to support local law enforcement and strengthen public safety. This November, I'm again asking local residents, regardless of political affiliation, for their vote so I continue fighting for a safer and more prosperous Broome County."

Congressman Molinaro was elected in November 2022 to represent New York’s 19th Congressional District. The new district includes Broome, Chenango, Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Sullivan, and Tompkins counties as well as part of Cortland, Rensselaer, and Ulster counties.
